There's an high competitive keyword for which i'm stuck at 3rd page on google.
I've already thousands of backlinks but it's not enough.
Is it a good move to buy a PR6 backlink ? However buying backlinks is not recommended by Google, if that website is relevant to your website and that website doesn't has a lot of external links on it, you can do it but its not guaranteed that by doing it, your website ranks higher in Google. I myself don't suggest buying links. I prefer natural link building using known methods. On the other hand I think a high PR backlink on a relevant niche website will give him an immediate SERP boost. Google doesn't recommend such methods doesn't mean such methods don't work. Is it a good move to buy a PR6 backlink ? What is the nature of the link you are considering to buy?
Is it a sitewide blogroll link or an in-content link?
I doubt it will help you rank better. To be honest, if it is a sitewide link and that website has a large number of indexed pages, you are at a risk of getting a temporary penalty if your site is too new.
You'd rather be better off with the traditional linkbuilding. If you have thousands of backlinks without any results, probably you are making some mistake or your site is being suppressed by the Google sandbox. Is it a good move to buy a PR6 backlink ? Hi,
In my own experiences, having a PR 6 back link would be helpful for PR purpose if it is relative to your niche but would not have many impacts on SERP since quantity of backlinks would also be important for ranking purpose and sometimes would be decisive.
all the best, i assume you are referring to your front page here which is lagging on page 3 and you want to move that up, as opposed to some inner page.
snak3 raises some good points. avoid the site wide link. in context link would be best and one that has the optimized anchor text that you are wanting to move up on.
and personally whenever i hear a question about buying links i think of you know how google frowns on it, you may want to ask or find out where that link is going to be coming from, what site and do they regularly sell links have they been identified by google as link sellers (in which case their page rank on the front page may be pr 6 but they links out could be of very little value) - on the other hand from what I read lots of webmasters buy links in more personal interactions and these work.
of course all depends on some many facotrs, the domain and page authority and how much boost you get for your money it's certainly not just a matter of page rank that's just one of many factors considered in serps, and don't imagine that just a link from a high pr site is going to improve your serps, why would it unless the other site is Authoritative/Trusted and its inner pages too and that page's theme/relevance is related to yours as well, that would help....
personally i think that having a diverse backlink profile, and with backlinks from relevant sites, and from sites/domains that have Authority/citation and Trust are more important than any raw page rank factor. at least for the serps....
