Does the new feature of Google,Google Instant affect SEO? right 2 way linking give you business but with only min outgoing link It will affect LTAS for sure, and affect search terms (ie a user chanigng half way through based on results).
But SEO - well link building still needs to be there but your target will be different, maybe change your keywords. Traffic maybe, but seo of course not! in fact they dodn't change any algorithm with Google Instant. I also think it is only a new add-on feature for SERP but would not touch the core of ranking algorithm. It is only for increasing user friendly purpose, IMO.
thanks, Will Google Instant Search danger for SEO?? What do you say people? According to your opinion, will it affect on SEO positively or negatively?
*Merged thread* ~Snakeair There was a poll in V7 Does Google Instant Kills SEO?, and 66.67% said no. There is also some interesting discussion over there around the Google Instant. My sites are doing well so far and some of them are targeting long tails keywords. However SEO will change constantly...if you fail to adapt you die...which means less competition for the other remaining guys...so the best advice is to adapt yourself In my opinion and all search engine optimizers believe that Google instate is not related to ranking algorithms at all. Its a feature for users of Google only and it doesn't change the results at all. Google Instant will not kill SEO. Matt Cutts even noted that SEO is ever-evolving, but will definitely be needed for years to come. Worry not as SEO is here to stay. Google Instant only changes how the SERPs are displayed to their users and doesn't change the underlying algorithm.
I think now, SEO is more important than ever as I doubt anyone would look below the first 3 results as the results change while you type. It's probably very important to have the top result with a good title and description to get those impulse clicks. I too can confirm that Google Instant brought no algorithmic change with it.
However, like the Mayday update, it is a long tail killer.
Some of you who have been targeting single and two worded keywords may have been waiting for this day as more traffic will start rolling in.
There are certain bugs that i have noticed in Google instant and it's new Ajax interface. To me somehow it feels that Google has done this in too much of a haste without enough tests. Well...i don't think it...Google has their own popularity and its a best search engine out of the world...but in these day seo become a very popular day by day...its very helpful for promote our website ranking. Nothing can kill seo. Why do some "seo ers" seem to think that the new Google Instant Search will effect search engine optimisation. If it does in what way?
*thread merged by moderator* Google have said that it won't effect SEO and webmasters should carry on as normal. But sensationalistic headlines get attention and traffic.. so.. hmmm. SEO will be there for lifetime. Hi friends..........
Off course Google instant will impact SEO to a certain extent like experts feel, performance of long tail keywords might be affected and PPCs too might get affected.
Thanks.......... SEO was dead about 14 times in last 10 years. Every time a new search technology comes up every one raise a hue and cry that SEO is dead.
SEOs will find a way out of it just like they have always done. SEO will evolve as long as search engines keep evolving.
Google Instant makes search to fall in a small basket of keywords.
SEO may need to rethink their keywords in order to survive.
How ever long tail queries will not be completely dead.
