Does Google boost your PR?

Considering Google has the best PR around - in theory any clicks to your website from Google should boost up your PR? I guess it doesn't work this way though does it?If i understand correctly, it's the links on other pages themselves (and the quality of those pages) that lead to your site rather than clicks on them. Google wouldn't have any way of knowing how many times someone clicks on a link their spider has found on someone else's site.If Google wanted to they could use something like the exit.cgi here at Ozzu to see how many people are clicking on links on their serps pages, but I don't think that would be all that useful since sites that were on the first few pages of results are going to get the bullk of the clicks pretty much regardless of quality. Whoever started out at the top of the serps would pretty much stay there. On the other hand, sites on the web that are useful - or actively try to get more inbound links - are likely to accumulate more inbound links from pages that themselves have good page rank.Mind you, I'm no google expert, but that's my understanding anyway...Clicks do not mean anything to PR, only links. It does so for one major reason to me - Content, especially if this page links to other well PR pages. This happens. In this way directories are better off than other sites. The proof is that my directory has no backlinks and it is growing in PR. It was 0 and now it is 2.
