Hey thereJust spent the last few hour creating a few blog to encourage the crawlers to visit our site. I know what they're intended for but a few guys I've chatted to rekon they use blog in this way. Does anyone have any comments on this? Here are the ones I created:http://www.dodgecroft.blogspot.com/http://xcapewithus.blogspot.com/http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=xcapewithushttp://www.20six.co.uk/xcapewithushttp://www.livejournal.com/users/dodgecroft/http://www.livejournal.com/users/xcapewithus/Thanks GuysI originally set up a few blogs, about 1-2 years ago to see the effect on SEO with my sites. It may have helped, one of my blogs has a Pagerank of 5, DMOZ and Yahoo directory listing, and didn't cost a thing. The thing was I started writing in the blog more and more, nothing related to SEO, though...so my intentions have changed. I know there is a lot of blog-spam out there. I would take some time in it if your creating content to help your visitors, to get some good articles out there, but for pure seo, I would spend your time elsewhere.Cool thanksBut I think what I'll do is add more content to it for a couple of weeks just to test it for myself.Something else I just found, some posted a link in a blog the will use a Google search phrase to list your site in the resluts. Just tested it a bit and it seems to work. Though I don't imagine the crawlers will like it. But at least it will create some popularity for a search phrase, even if it is vague. try this link and see what I mean.'Hotels in Mallorca' as the link texthttp://www.google.com/search?q=mallorca ... 8&oe=UTF-8Hi Dodgecraft,This article might be of interest. http://www.ezine-writer.com.au/articles/j121451.aspxIt might seem overly positive in its tone, but it gives some common sense persepctives on the pro's of blogging.Greats thanks man
