Do N/A links help?

I have a new site and, with a couple of exceptions, the only link building I have done was to pay a nominal fee to the one nice company to build links. The seem to have successfully built many links, but all the links that Google reports are from pages with a PR of n/a. The PR of the site in question is 0.

The site is http://www.shakergardenscommunity.com/

I don't feel ripped off, because you get what you pay for, but is there any value to being in directories with a PR of n/a? There is nothing wrong with this, google will count the link despite the page not having any page rank, I've seen these kind of pages show up as google backlinks both in webmaster tools as well as the normal search so you will still get some value from the listing.

Focus on the relevance of the page your site listed on instead of the page rank, in time those links will gain age and provide more and more value to your link. As a friendly reminder, it is Page Rank and not site rank (although the home page rank is generally an idea about where the individual pages could end up), only the page your link is on matters.

Those help, but PR is measured like an earthquake. That means a PR 0 link is worth 10 times more then a PR n/a and on and on. Eventually unranked site will improve PR after 3 months just checked site if it has quality content and backlinks. Generally speaking, any decent backlinks would benefit your SERP if the anchor text was correctly used. Of course, backlinks with n/a or 0 PR might be not helpful for PR purpose.

Have a nice day, I would say "YES". N/A doesnt mean the site have no PR but it might be a new site waiting for the PR tools update. As long as it is quality site, PR is not the matter at this moment, it sure give good PR juice in future if you think in long term Quote: Originally Posted by Physical Therapy I don't feel ripped off, because you get what you pay for, but is there any value to being in directories with a PR of n/a? If the page the link is on gets indexed, it may have some value depending on how it's viewed by Google. If it's perceived as a "low value" or spammy link, it may end up being ignored completely:

They may even already be being discounted by our algorithms. There is a chance of getting page rank from N/A. It doesn t matter. So proceed on with those links. These also may be considered as back links. The link is still caunted by Google. the important thing is related topics Relevancy of the content is the most important thing is you want a quality links.. As time goes by your link from low PR site will increase... There's nothing wrong with PR 0, of course you'll have to work a lot harder to get through the first pages of google, but it can be done. Just keep link building and you'll get there. Ya N/a s are useful or they really helps . These type of links took some extra time but they worked.
so No need to worry. Its useful even for indexing, If you then have a link with your keyword in the anchor text linking to your site, it will help in getting your site found. Although there are other factors such as relevancy of page to your site theme that counts in terms of backlink purpose. I agree with banless, it much easier to rank when you are linking to relevant sites. It will not just improve your rankings but it can also drive traffic to your site.
