Ok so today I did a reverse ip search on my website and one site that came up was a sexual website. My question is will this hurt my serp in any way for being on the same server? My host is host gator. Also, does hostgator have and rules against adult content? Just an opinion with no reference to quote. One or two sites like that should not hurt you. If you are the only G-rated site on a porn server it might.
I think HG runs adult servers but I thought they kept them separate from the regular ones; just another IMO.

I didn't think Hostgator did allow sexual websites although I could be wrong. I don't know exactly but you should avoid any host provider that allows adult content just to be safe
