Has anyone solve the problem of displaying a div or span over a select box? I have a dropdown menu which is a div tag and when it displays, there is a dropdown in the way and it displays over the div tag. I have tried z-index but that does nothing.<!--content-->as I remember... since the browser resides on the OS plane, and the select box resided on the broweser... you can't effectively tell the select box to appear 'under' the layer. <br />

However, you do have some options:<br />
1. hide the select when you mouseover the menu item. <br />
2. change the layout of the page to show both simultaneously. <br />

it's not has anybody solvedit, it's nobody can't solve it. The doc is correct. those are your only options.<br />
