I would like to place an image so that it appears to be inside a <select> (dropdown) box. I have tried making a class for it and assigning the jpg as a background-image, but it doesn't show up like it will for <td>'s and other elements. Does anyone have a clue how to get it to show up? I've tried using absolute positioning and <div>'s but my image always ends up BEHIND the <select>.
Anyone have a solution for me?

Thanks!To the best of my (incomplete) knowledge, it is not possible.tested it on IE and MOZ, it is not possible (on windows at least) even though the w3c specification permits it, i know it is up to the operating system and/or browser to render form elements so it maybe possible on mac and/or linux
