I design websites for SMEs and until about 1 month ago all of my sites (about 15) were in the Google top 5, normally No 1. Now they are nowhere to be seen. I have checked 'allinurl:' to make sure the sites are still indexed, which they are.
I haven't used any 'clever' techniques, apart from Web Position Gold page critic and slow submit, and know about the big November algorithm change, but find it hard to believe niche sites such as 'www.japanesekimonos.co.uk' could vanish like this when they would appear to be the sort of SME Google are keen to help.
I know there are no guarantees but some of these SMEs rely on web traffic to keep them afloat (one has already gone out of business), so any help would be gratefully appreciated.
