database backup

hey people whenver i go to do a database backup i get this...

Unable to write backup to file ./forum/forumbackup-01-21-2009-cce42.sql. This file or the directory this file is in must be world writable!

does anyone know why?

Because the folder permission isn't 777 it can not write the file.

if you want to backup a database, do it through you cPanel.

i recomend you to use mysqldumper is easier and it always works
