Customizable Flow Charts/Pipeline with HTML or CSS or JavaScript

I am actually creating a solution for an Animation based project in which user would be able to create an animation pipeline for himself. A pipeline is actually a series of steps required to make an animation movie. Moreover, there might be some situations where a pipeline may get complex. As my question states, I am looking for a solution which I can use for my project.I did check out the some Javascript libraries, like Raphael.js. But these are little over the head for me and I have some time constraints as well. I just need to be pointed in right direction.
