Customer # forgotten!

Hi, I have the keygen version of VB 3.7.1 installed on my website, today I was planning on upgrading to the newest .2 version and have realized that I forgot my customer number. I tried using the keygen to create a new one, but it didn't work.

Is there any way around this? Or, will I have to do a fresh install, then reupload my SQL database?

For the future, and for the security of my forum, can i re-generate a customer number, then replace the MD5 of my old one, with the new one?
