What do you guys think of CSS being used for tabs. Does it make it simplier? How hard is maintance? I have one from SimpleBits (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.simplebits.com">http://www.simplebits.com</a><!-- m -->), just wondering if I should rid myself of what I have to use that. :confused:Simpler than what?Originally posted by ray326
Simpler than what? <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.clifford.org/wpezzag/talk/98math/clifford3.gif">http://www.clifford.org/wpezzag/talk/98 ... fford3.gif</a><!-- m -->

;)I created this (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.onunorthernonmain.com">http://www.onunorthernonmain.com</a><!-- m -->) site, and was thinking about changing it.

Sorry about not being specific.Originally posted by gumbystation

If it is just to change for the sake of change then I'd leave it alone. It'll serve little purpose.

If you are becoming one of us web standards nuts then it will drive you crazy until you do change it so change it. It will also serve the purpose of putting more standards compliant code out there and you will be a part of the solution instead of perpetuating the problem.

If you plan on changing the look often then simplebits css tabs will make canging the tabs a breeze. Your table layout is quite light bandwidth-wise but chaning it to css layout will make changes to that a breeze as well.Wow, simplifying that would be pretty easy. Just fixing the HTML would be a good start. How many body tags does one page need?

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//www.onunorthernonmain.com/Oh">http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1 ... ain.com/Oh</a><!-- m -->, I forgot to pass it through the validator. :)

I tend to assume it already been done.

Two body tags, huh? That's a new one.For compliance sake, i know it's bad, but I use virtual include files. Makes updating content, not just design, easy. As an outside source, do you see anything wrong in that...besides, not being 'valide'?Originally posted by gumbystation
For compliance sake, i know it's bad, but I use virtual include files. What does that have to do with bad code? If there is bad code in the final product it is because it is in the "virtual include files".

Makes updating content, not just design, easy. Then it should be easy to fix the errors, right? :)
