OK, so I'm trying to create an RSS feed when I don't know much about it. That said, the site <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wilsonweb.com/wmt8/rss_feeds.htm">http://www.wilsonweb.com/wmt8/rss_feeds.htm</a><!-- m --> says it's not as bad a people think. I used <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.webreference.com/cgi-bin/perl/rssedit.pl">http://www.webreference.com/cgi-bin/perl/rssedit.pl</a><!-- m --> to create my file. With one item it seemed to work. Today, I added an item, and it won't validate at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.feedvalidator.org/">http://www.feedvalidator.org/</a><!-- m -->. The first item, put in yesterday, shows up in lists, but not the new one. The validator tells me that "Feeds should not be served with the "text/plain" media type" and the "help" button only gives me more answers I don't understand.
