Converting xml file to excel in Java

I am a beginner in Java and I need to convert an \[code\]xml\[/code\] file to excel.I've made many research, I found that I have to use \[code\]POI\[/code\] library but I am not sure of the way to use it and if it is sufficient or I need another thing.I feel really that I am stuck and I need your help please!
