Converting Layers to Tables in DWMX 2004

I am using DreamweaverMX 2004... I am using nested layers. I would like to convert to the layers to tables so they will look the same of different versions of Internet Explorer, (which left as layers does not always look the same). When I try to convert them, I receive and error message saying I can't convert due to using nested layers and its inability to be compatible with 3.0 browsers. Is there any way around this? If not, what can I do to have my layers look the same in IE 5.0 and higher versions?<br />
