Hello all!

Just converted my forum from SMF to VB.
I am getting one error.
At the Statistics area i see:
"Members: 0, Active Members: 0 Welcome to our newest member, a"
I tried recounting the users and stuff through Update Counters but nothing..
What can i do??

Thank you!!!

Ok i have found out the problem.
The members were inserted in additional/custom user groups.
How can i transfer the members of a custom user group to the original?
Not one by one! This would take a lot of time!
Is there any way just to check users and assign them all at a specific user group??

Just use "impex" (Search for it in the search engine). Does everything at the click of a button. Very simply.

After a successful import form SMF to vb using impex, you have to update counters in the admincp < Maintenance.

The box at the bottom of the left column.

Update everyhing,(posts, users, titles) and yo're done.

:D

I did that myself cause I used to have my forum on SMF 1.1.5 and now I'm using vbulletin 3.7.3

well i did it but the users where transfered to the custom user groups,so they were not appearing registered.
So i am asking if there is anyway to trasnfer in example the users of "CustomMemberGroup2" to the Super Mods(original group).
Is there any way?

Well, It's gonna bue a litle hard.
I assume that the usergroups were exported too, at least in name and not in permissions.

You'd have to esit the permissions for each group then. And make final adjustments incase there are wrong users belonging to a group and stuff like that.

But if not, then you'd have to begin from scrath. Putting user by user in their respective usergroups.

Or let's see what the big shots of the forum say about it.

Something else...The previous members that were administrators can now only see at the admin panel these:"Announcements
Moderation
Statistics & Logs "
Why is that?
I have assigned them at the original administrators user group...

3.7.4 and below require to set some of the admin permissions in the config.php file it is an added security measure they implemented...so edit them there as well.

Dude that helped me!!!!Thank you so much!!!!

But:
I have re-imported the members because there were new registered. Now i have closed the registrations at my SMF forum.
But i still got the same problem.(I have already rebuilt Statistics).
Members: 0
I moved all the users to "Registered Users" user group but i still get 0 members.
Now i moved them again to Custom User Group Members but still nothing.
Can anyone please help me please????
Please add me on msn : [email protected]

Thank you.

Well the problem is fixed.
I have moved the files to the new server and now i cannot login at my forum.
It says successfully logged in and then it takes me back to the homepage which i see as guest..
I think it might be a forum path problem.
Because at the old forum there was the domain as the path.
But now it is the IP of the server..
What do you think?

Yes.. But i think its cookie domain problem which i also faced but i just left cookie domain blank and my was solved. For that i directly entered path to admin zone.
