Convert vbulletin 3.7 to PHPBB3

How can I do this? I got a good size member database with a decent amount of posts.. To put a long story short, I got a shut down notice and I need help converting.

Move your forum to a different (sub)directory
IE:
yoursite.com/forum/
to
yourstie.com/board/

This has worked for many people in the past, I even know some people that have done this about 3 or 4 times!

Or you could change your domain name.

You will always run the risk of getting caught when doing something you not suppost to, thats just life ;)

Why not save yourself the heartache and just pay them the license fee? PHPBB sucks and is a huge pain in the arse plugin wise. Might cost you now $ wise but you'll benefit from not having to deal with the stresses of trying to keep it a secret anymore and not having to deal with transfer issues.

Thats my two dimes.
 
Only if it was that easy to change the board name. But right now my host is got me by the nut sack on this.

Also If I could buy VB I would. But their pricing system is so ridiculous.

I've been looking over the PHPBB forums for conversion help. But the problem that I'm having is that the user's and post are not converted at all. Even when the converter said it was complete. But I figure this, due to the fact the only converter script they have is for 3.0.x(I have 3.7.1). After making the necessary edit's, it still didn't work.

Any idea? Or a possible updated script?

Why not to go for ipb? its crap as compared to vb but in trouble time its better than phpbb!
