CompletevB Professional Design Services

Link: Custom vBulletin skins and vBulletin themes for vBulletin forums!

CompletevB is charging:

Basic Package (No Logo Design) - $799

Executive Package (includes Free Install, Logo Design w/Custom Icons, Buttons & Postbits) - $950

Giant Enterprise Package (includes Free Install, Logo Design w/Custom Icons, Buttons & Postbits, vBadvanced CMPS, Blog, Custom Hacks & Mods) - $1499

Professional Installation Services - $30

So:

1. Do you guys think they're getting a lot of requests for custom mods? I guess the question really is do you guys think that there's a potential market out there for custom vB forums.

2. Do you guys think that a TEAM of coders could be put together who could compete with completevB by providing the same level of services (3 types of packages as described above) but at significantly reduced rates?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and input.

I doubt anyone order... why? because they could find someone to do it for MUCH cheaper and same quality... CompletevB has to be dreaming.. they're lucky if they even get one customer for those packages...

That isn't the first one I have seen with custom pricing like that and not just vBulletin styles. I am guessing that they get it from some webdesigner course that has a price list template they lifted. I doubt they get many requests for custom work but from vBulletin sites though the going rate for a customized brand free social networking site is $1000 to $1200 USD for a fairly mediocre site with a little bit of flash and javascript and a LOT of Bugs. LOL

Custom CompletevB work (I think):

Hoxxy - the Royal Welch Forum Skin is very nice, it has class! It almost looks like a mod of eyeeasy template.

Okay on another note...

I was thinking of forming a group whereby I pay all the marketing and advertising costs, google adwords costs $3.00 per click through but they have 70% marketshare of the search engine market. So I'll be generating the customers and we split the fee 50/50. So if a job comes in for 1000 each get half thats only fair. The coder/tech will be paid immediately once the customer has transferred the funds. I have a corporate paypal account with virtual terminal that accepts creditcard transactions so the only way this is going to work is if the coder/tech has a paypal account. The coder/tech will also be responsible for preparing a brief summary to the client.

In addition I can generate additional clients if the coder/tech has script installation and basic troubleshooting skills.

Also probably gonna need to make a website as well to provide information to potential clients about products and services offered.

So I'll take care and fund the backend operations as well as marketing/advertising. You guys are going to be responsible for generating quotes/summaries, working on the website making it look professional, and of course you'll take on the coding projects as they come along.

My expertise lies in script installs/repairs and coding (all sorts).

What do you guys think? This is just a hypothetical discussion to guage interest.

You're goin to tryto undercut them by selling custom services at reduced rates? But not many people want custom work when there are so many good free templates out there.
