Cannot remmeber how to browse using unix command. <br />

I believe you are thinking of the (excellent) text-only browser Links, which can be started (as long as it is on your path) with links <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.example.com">www.example.com</a><!-- w -->. />
