clearing the url

for an example I want
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.forumthon.com/cgi-bin....=00;f=6">http://www.forumthon.com/cgi-bin....=00;f=6</a><!-- m -->
to just
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.forumthon.com">http://www.forumthon.com</a><!-- m -->
It's a reset button and i want the values in url cleared as well
any one have an idea?
