Hey guys, hope you all doing fine, been having a problem lately...
I've been trying to have a chat room inside a thread, when i have video or anything, users can come and have the chat load and talk to each other..
I have tried PJirc, and managed to get it working by enabling html for that specific category. The Forum the thread is in, has posting and all that disabled, so i enabled html and managed to get PJirc inside it. The problem i have with pjirc is i can't manage to figure out how to make it ask for a nickname before it connects.
I also tried jwirc, it seems all good except i get a error, saying "lang.txt not found" i looked all over for this error, google wasn't any help. I couldn't find out how to fix it.
How i have them setup is i have the chat files somewhere in a folder on the site, and in the html, i just direct link the files it looks for. Seems to work with pjirc.
I was wondering if you guys have any ideas for embedding chat into a thread like im trying. I've seen flash chat around, but didn't know how to get it working, and lots of people like cgi irc but i don't think its possible to get that working in a thread.
So what are your ideas of having chat inside thread, possible? anything already exist?
