Changing website purpose and content

So, I totally changed the purpose of one of my domains, e.g. from one industry to a completely different one. Now Google still shows the old keywords in the webmasters tools even though the content has changed. How can I "force" it to look at my site as being relevant to this new industry or does this just take time? I don't think you can force google to recheck your site.

All you can do is build more backlinks to your site and post more articles. first of all you have taken the domain then you should look the your site Design because Google do the cache depend on website design and website resources. I agree with the comments made already in this thread but also have you submit a sitemap to google after the switch over?

One way to speed up the process of google re-indexing your site again is to provide fresh quality content on your site a couple times a week besides building up backlinks for the "new keywords" that you are targeting.

In the end, it just takes some time but to speed up the process, get some backlinks for the new keywords. yeah, got this worked out. thank you guys for your input. Google now shows relevant keywords in the webmasters tools. How'd it get sorted?
