Changing my Google Meta Tags (Please Help!)

Ok, so I've got my site resgistered with Google. I've got my sitemap approved and my site shows up on the Google Index when I search for it. The problem is that this is the Meta Phrase result that appears under it:

"This is a discussion forum powered by vBulletin. To find out about vBulletin, go to vBulletin - Instant Community ."

I really want to change this to something custom, but I'm not sure what file I need to edit to make this happen. I found the Meta Tag options in the ACP, and I edited my tags, but they're not showing up in Google. Any help?

admincp>vbulletin options>vbulletin options>general settings>Meta description. poor keywords and description = poor SEO get this right before you get indexed.

Need to search for "Powered by" in the Phrase Manager to change the vBulletin reference to your own "keyword rich" phrase. When you get the search results, you will see the one you need to change, just edit it and replace what there with your own stuff.

HTH

If you need to add the google verification meta tag, you will need to edit the headinclude template and add it there, usually after the meta description line that you will see in the template code.

Yeah, I tried both of those things. My meta tags within the ACP are strong and unique and so is my meta description. It just doesn't look like Google is using these two things in it's indexing. I've already been verified with Google for this site. I did a search for "Powered by" and "vBulletin - Instant Community" and I'm not coming up with any results that might be where Google's getting the description. I'm starting to think that they're using a general Vbulletin meta description instead of one that is site specific. Any other ideas?

its because google indexed your site before these things were updated, you just have to keep pestering google in analytics and webmaster tools and jst submit sitemaps and keep searching for cirtain key words that your site has, google you sometimes have to be patient with, and forums are usually the last they go for. so just relax

In the Phrase Manager the variable name is "x_powered_by_vbulletin" and it should be there unless you already changed it to something else.
