Hi

hope you are having a nice festive season [/URL]:)

This is my page <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://lesparkin.com/index.html">http://lesparkin.com/index.html</a><!-- m -->

I cannot understand how to center a page in firefox and IE ? It centers in Firefox but not IE ??

Also in the IE phase the menu looks ok but in firefox it looks like a list ?

I am wondering if it is the text-align: left; i have put in the content #Div -is why the menu has gone funny in firefox

Could you offer any ideas --please ---- I am ? :confused:You probably should address these errors first and see if that takes care of things:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Flesparkin.com%2Findex.html&usermedium=all">http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/vali ... medium=all</a><!-- m -->

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Flesparkin.com%2Findex.htmlHi">http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... dex.htmlHi</a><!-- m -->

I probably should understand all about the validators , but I dont.:( So if I havent put the correct Doctype in <head> no matter how good the CSS/html it will not work ??

Liked your site, great layout, why does the menu on the IE jump up and down and interfere with the content though ??

It looks ok in firefox, or is it supposed to move up and down on both ??

sorry you cant help -- have a nice day thanks for replying :)

Put this line at the very top of your html file before the <html> tag:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

That should at least make IE work in "standards mode" and be pretty much the same as FF.

Hmmm...I don't see any "jumping" on my IE or FF. What version of IE are you using on which OS? (Thought I'd worked out all the kinks in the navigation buttons. :( )You a genious :)

I can live with moving the navigation out of the content --

I am NOT messing about with the moving Navigation buttons, in IE they jump up and the line especially wargaming. So browse around and is the only line that moves across the page--no matter what button you are on.

Here is a screen shot of the page with a nav button clicked

I have XP IE6 --- It does NOT do it in FF. I would NOT kid you , No need to do that --- :(

I sent an e mail saying i enjoyed the site ---

thanks so much

:) :)
