is there a hack for the category icon in the 3.8 vb

i know one for the 3.7 but is there one for the 3.8

i left a pic on the attachments

......... does it work with the 3.8?

this is the most similar line that i find

PHP: 
"$stylevar[imgdir_statusicon]/$forum[imageprefix]forum_$forum[statusicon].gif"

and it tells me to look for

PHP: 
$stylevar[imgdir_statusicon]/forum_$forum[statusicon].gif
