Hey guys,Ive been speaking with an internet marketing representative and he suggested adding in alt and title tags on my home page to make my page more "search friendly", which I did last night. However I have been warned by a friend not to "over do" it.Is this possible? Can you over do alt and title tags and be penalised for it within Google? My homepage can be viewed here http://www.egaragesales.com.auAs you can see Im really pushing the keyword "garage sales"Any suggestions?RJanyone???RJI can't imagine how you would overdo it...maybe by making rediculously long sentences but if you stick with short descriptions you would have no problem. The ALT tag is not for SEO. It should be used for screen readers to describe the picture for blind users.Lots of seo specialist's are using the alt to get their desired density but overdoing alt is considered a spam.Quote:reaper wrote:The alt tag is also important when the image is used as an anchor...the alt text essentially becomes the anchor text for the link...phaugh wrote:johan007 wroteQuote:reaper wrote:Quote:Agreed.Well that got pear shaped didnt it? huh?
