Is there a way you can just Host your own forum ..

Make a server in your house and set up a VB forum there ??

if not whats the cheapest or most common amount you would normaly pay for some one to host you ????

i think ive seem somewhere about $/£ 5 a month and nulled aloud ???

You do not especialy a static ip..

Here a quick setup,

1. Download Wampserver ( Install PHP 5 Apache MySQL on Windows : WampServer ) and get it up and running.

2. Get a free dns name here ( No-IP - Dynamic DNS, Static DNS for Your Dynamic IP )
This will get pointing to your internet ip even if you have a static ip, much easyer to remember than numbers.

3. Open up your port 80 or 443 (SSL) in your router and point that to your localip. If you only have a firewall, open the ports in there.

4. Check if your port(s) are open. ( Home of Gibson Research Corporation )

5. Install vBulletin on your own server.

6. Enjoy your own hosting / testing board.

As fast as your line will allow.

o thats sort of cool then so i guess 10 mb/s would be to low and lag to hell all the time lol
