Yes, they can is the short answer. Some don't care, most will shut down your site if they get a complaint from vB. However without a complaint, they will usually not check on their own.

But how they can check it without complaint from Jelsoft?
Someone want to complaint to my hoster that i'm using not-licensed version of vB and i don't know - be afraid?
I'm from Poland and my hoster too.

It doesn't matter now. I bought offshore hosting and domain with id protection so i don't have to be afraid :)
But thanks for your answers.

for others that still ask this question,
from my point of view...and many others

if your using a keygen, ONLY if Jelsoft send a complaint or a user sends to jelsoft they may act towards it as who are your server owners or support team to know if that license is ures or not unless they backup & at the time of the backup the Keygen was left on your site....so Keygen must be deleted straight after installation, & Jelsoft finding out from a complaint from someone takes time and normally don't act as people change their site alot and forget to update there detail at jelsoft, so they'll check with them before anything which really is a long process when you get many complaints over there and they'd go for the nulled with no keygen script before this (that does'nt mean its impossible)... unless the complaint is from the license owner...Then your F###'d...LOL

I've been using nulled vb for 2 and 1/2 years with the same hosting company but all with keygens & not nulled and nothing has happened so far although the company IS very stricked and I've seen alot get their account suspended ...fingers crossed for the time to come, lol
if your not using a keygen there's a bigger possibility, jelesoft complaining which will be straight away if they find you "in the middle of thousands of others " which would be unfortunate as there will be no license.....
and/or 1 of your server support team or admins know about vb and its licensing and know's about nulled vbulletin scripts......but using a keygen gives you a license number.

over all it is very rare if you get caught whlie using a keygen if your site contains legal content but it does'nt mean its NOT POSSIBLE CAUSE IT IS!!

Also remember that there is a possibility that someone (maybe someone you pissed off, competitor, etc...) could report your board to Jelsoft so it's important to get an offshore host that is known to ignore DMCA complaints AND a domain registrar that will also ignor the same.

You could have great offshore hosting, but if your domain registrar cancels your domain you're almost more screwed.

there are no programs. theres just some link with a 0 in the end. and when they try it, it tells wether its nulled or not ( i tried it myself)

What is the link? Surely it would be very simple to alter the code so visiting this link will always say that the script is not nulled?

All they have the right to do is request that the host shut you down, they do not have the power to force them.

"May" not will, my host has gotten many complaints from Jetsoft about my forum (I offer free anime and manga direct downloads once a post count minimum is met, so as you can imaging it is very popular. However my direct downloads are all located on a server in the Netherlands while my forum's server is here in the good ole US.) and we laugh about it, Jetsoft has no legal recourse if the company that owns your server is located out of the US, as mine is.
