can i just update my site to 3.8.0 like that

actually my site is Version 3.7.3 i want the 3.8.0 bcuz my site doesn't work internet explorer full explanation on how to update

Frankly, jumping from 3.7.3 to 3.8.0 is very likely to break your custom styles and it they have not been updated so that you can upgrade them too, you may be SOL on an upgrade.
