Boosting Google Placement

Hello!

I'm promoting my site with http://www.eh4u.co.cc/index.html because my Google placement doesn't bring traffic. I know there are some rules to make a site be placed top like making title, description and keywords relevant to page topic. If I want my site to be found with special keywords I have to put these keywords in the title. What could be helpful, too? Does anyone know about more of such rules?

Thanks upfront for all answers! Quote: Originally Posted by tgma Hello!

Thanks upfront for all answers! I just moved this to the SEO section where you'll get better help. You need to work on SEO on your website. While you wait for help, take a look at our SEO Tip Thread.

V7N's SEO Tip of the Day
keyword backlinks Backlinks are links on other websites that link to yours - you're going to need a bunch of them so start researching that. There's plenty of good stuff in the forum.

Start by putting your keywords in the title tags, h1 tags, and meta tags of your website. If you need help, Google or YouTube how to do this.

Good luck! You need to make sure you are using your keywords within your content as well (not just your title). Also get backlinks with good anchor text (meaning the words you click on to go to your website are keywords).

Updating your content frequently can also help as it keeps the spiders coming back for more. You should work on those keywords for which you are targeting whether you are getting backlinks or using those one in your Meta tags, content but don't use stuffing. Don't insert too much keywords in the title tag, you can put the keywords you think is important in website headers or you can put them in the content as well.Try to collect quality links relevant to your site. I hope this should help.

Thanks get more backlinks with anchor texts or the keywords you're trying to target. you will need to read more about SEO to get an idea of how it works and what you need to do. I suggest visiting Google webmaster tools for additional info. Once you get some idea of how it works, you will need to start optimizing your pages/site. That is called on-page SEO. Once done, you will need to start promoting or doing off-page SEO and you will need a lot of time, effort and knowledge in doing that. Where to get help? There are lots of SEO forums such as V7N that can help you in your quest. Goodluck. SEO is really only effective for people who are in it for the long haul. If you really believe in your site, and feel confident that it will be successful, then perhaps you are ready for it. SEO takes a long time and a lot of hard work. You need to learn everything you can by reading book, websites, and participating in forums like this one.

I've watched quite a few people start, but when they didn't see results in a month or two they got very discouraged. For some of my sites, it took over a year before I started seeing decent traffic from the search engines. Are you willing to work on this for a whole year before you see results? If not, then you may want to consider ppc advertising or paying an SEO company.

Now of course it all has to do with how competive your keywords are, and how much time you are willing to spend on building links and marketing your site. However, any significant keywords worth vying for will likely take you at least a year to get onto the first page (maybe longer). Then when you do get into the top three, there are absolutely no guarantees you will stay there. Just make sure you pick the right keywords, or you might find that a whole year of work wasn't worth all the effort.
