Blog homepage: noindex, follow a good idea?

My weblog usercore.com has a noindex, follow robots meta tag on the homepage. I've heard that this isn't a good idea, yet I'm not sure if I buy it. Each blog post on my homepage is duplicated elsewhere as an individual article. As time goes on, the posts that are on the homepage today will drop off, but their individual article links will always remain. It makes sense to me that a search engine would be happier with my website if I said "hey, don't bother keeping this content but go ahead and follow the links on this page for the stuff that's worth keeping."I've noticed some other posts on this issue but everything looks to be at least a couple years old. I wonder if something has changed or if there's something else I should consider with the noindex, follow instruction to robots. What does everyone think? Thanks!
