Is it true that google black list sites for bad spelling? The reason i ask is because i found i am second on google for a search for a specific term containing the wrong (yet commonly used) spelling of the word proxy , the search i do well on is a search for - free online proxie.Should i correct the spelling or just leave it and be happy with second place?Never heard of a case. I really doubt it, I mean how is misspelling harming search results. What about webmasters with poor english, are they going to get penalised...Leave the misspelling and try to make the most of the traffic Veto will be your best bet in answering this one, i'm sure he looked into it if i remember right.I did hear something once about google blacklisting sites with bad spelling on the pages. If anything from a user point of view bad spelling looks very amateurish so you should try an avoid it anyway.meman wrote:why don't you just have both spellings? you could put it in a layer, and make the layer invisible.. though they might blacklist you for that meman wrote:I got the correct spelling a few times on the page but when i search using the correct spelling i dont show up at all lol.the subliminal effects of forum sigs bbot lol.I think he got that from an actual news article.i know this thread is a bit old now but i thought i would demostrate the injustice of the world.ozzu is now top the top link on a search for free online proxie because of my post here.!!(just dosnt seem fair to me. loland also shows what i was saying in my other thread. ozzu dosnt offer a free online proxy, yet google decides it should be the top link in thier results for that search term.So now im third... thanks ozzu!Yep...they only care about your spelling in forums...lol. lets start a myth..
