I used to use Yahoo Site Explorer to check BL's for myself and the competiton, no I see it is gone, and repalce by Bing Webmaster Tools.
Has anytone tried Bing Webmaster Tools, any thoughts, summations ? If you consider Bing the next big player in the future then it is exactly what you need. But Facebook Webmaster Tool is coming as well if there is any. No, I dont consider Bing to be a big player in the future, I just liked using Yaho Site Explorer.
As for Facebook, I think its 'Fad Gone Wild', Mark Zuckerberg has created nothing more than a hybrid 'MySpace', I think its a joke, but he suckered so many people, he's rich ! Yeah, well...Yahoo Site Explorer was fine, but I always go with all of them...you should also try Google Webmaster Tools and submit a sitemap to all of them so that you can get suggestions on what to improve. BTW...Yahoo Site Explorer became Bing Webmaster Tools because Microsoft bought Yahoo...so you will see tons of merges between services. i really like yahoo explorer because of its results, well i haven't tried bing webmaster tools but i hope they have the same feature as yahoo explorer. I actually like Bing Webmaster Tools, they provide more updated information than Yahoo Site Explorer did, and they also let you submit multiple URLs that you want crawled.
I am excited that the transition has finally completed, and I look forward to checking the data being provided to me by Bing Webmaster Tools.

BiologyWebmaster No doubt, Bing webmaster tools is very good substitute for checking backlinks. But you cannot check your competitior's backlinks with this. you need to verify your site first before checking backlinks.
This is why, I have switched to 'Keyword Country' for backlink analysis. Hi.
Bing webmaster tool is better than yahoo site explorer. There is not much difference between them but the quality of Bing master is better than yahoo. Web masters are using to have the high quality traffic from Bing and yahoo. Hi,
Why can't you try with backlinkwatch.com you can check compitor analysis.
