Well it's official now.
Quote: In our last update we shared that we had begun testing Bing results in Yahoo! search as we move forward with our transition.
Today I am happy to share that Bing is powering Yahoo!’s search results in the US and Canada (English only for now, the other languages will come in the weeks and months ahead).
So what’s next? We continue to work hard on the migration to adCenter, and are optimistic about completing this phase later this fall. As we have said all along, our primary goal is to provide advertisers with a quality transition experience in 2010, while being mindful of the holiday season.
This is a great milestone for Bing and Yahoo! and our customers, and we are happy to report the transition has gone smoothly and we feel great about the progress our search alliance has been making over the summer.

I am wondering if i should focus on getting ranked better in Bing and Yahoo now. I never use these 2 search engines to search for stuff or even check my rankings.
Anyone have any comments about this new change? You like it or hate it? Explain why. Thanks for that, I assumed that Bing had been powering Yahoo for some time; I must have confused that with last year's announcement that they were partnering on searches.
It's good news all round, I think - July had Google with ~66% of the web search market and Yahoo and Bing at 17% and 11% respectively. On their own, Bing and Yahoo were sufficiently small that you might be put off implementing single strategies to improve rankings at the two; now they have nearly 30% of the market, you can't really ignore them which is probably a good thing. So this means there's no more big 3?
Only two major search engines for us to manipulate
This is good new for both Companies.. But I don't think Google will not do any thing. They might be planning to do something new
Let See. Yes, its really interesting. Lets if MS can make any dent on Google now
Bing is gaining market share. nice to see good old microsoft is still in the action! So Microsoft will now compete with Google in all directions. Quote: Originally Posted by webcosmo Lets if MS can make any dent on Google now
