Bi-Directional Replication

I have successfully achieved one way replication on two Linux servers using MySQL and would like to achieve bi-directional replication so that if my fist server goes down I will be able to easily replicate back to the original server. I have not been able to do this and am wondering if anyone has and can give me some advice.
