Best way to store birthdate in mySQL?

Hi,

Sorry if this is a newbie question...

I was wondering what is the best way to store a birthdate in mySQL?
The user submits his data through a form that uses selectboxes to enter the date.
Afterwards, it should be possible to search for users on their current age...


Any suggestions?
