Best way to raise PR

I am trying to raise my website's PR (http://www.xenolth.biz) It's currently at a 5. I know that's average, but I'd like to do better.I'd like to get others' opinions... what's the best way people have found to raise PR? To get "good" PR, must one be willing to purchase or trade links, or can one do it without either of these?Also... which is better, trading links or purchasing links?Thanks,~Caspian the 11thIt is going to take a lot to get from a 5 to a 6. One thing I noticed that you do not have is a DMOZ listing. Depending on the category you get into, this would be a big help on increasing it to a 6.I would also get a Yahoo Directory listing. This will not only help increase your Pagerank, but will also get you good positioning in their search.Otherwise I would look to trading links with sites in your industry that have good PR on their links pages.Yeah, I have submitted my site to DMOZ and Yahoo a couple of times, but never got in. Should I keep trying in different categories?Well with DMOZ...You need to write down the date and category you submitted it to. Once a month rolls by and you didn't get it, check http://www.resource-zone.com and see the status of it. You have to wait a month.With Yahoo Directory, their is a $299.00 charge so I am guessing you thought I was talking about Yahoo Search. This would make sense (as they've got a vested interest) but presumably means that they are not too eager to publish competitor sites.I've a suspicion that this is happening to me.
