Best Layout?

Hey, I want to start my site. It's just a personal site, nothing big. I was wondering, what's the best layout/navigation to use? On mylast site (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://freewebs.com/profile22">http://freewebs.com/profile22</a><!-- m -->), I used a table. But it sentered itself and just got annoying. I learned iFrames, and thought they were really cool, but all you guys told me they suck. What do you suggest?<!--content-->If you want a decent layout: then you bettter start learning CSS.
