Basic questions [Threads]

My first question is, is there any way to display the number of posts in the selected "thread" ?
Basically, I want 2 "Number of Posts" in each oser's info. One is named "Posts" (shows thenumber of total posts) the other is "entries" (shows just the posts for one thread.


My second questions is, again similar to the first one.

is there any way to set a limit like "need X number of posts before posting a thread" for thread posting ? I want each new member to post a thread about themselves to the main "new users" forum first.

Thats all for now. I know these are quite easy ones for VB guru's.

I have no idea what the first question is

As for the second, theres a hack for that...cybernetec made it. Its called :

Cyb - Advanced Permissions Based on Post Count

Just search for it here on vBTeam i'm sure you'll find it
 
Hmm the first one seemed easier to me..
..weird there has to be some way to do it I'm sure I've seen it at some forums..


also at some forums there is a variable named as "longetivity" that shows the user's total online activity (or time)... I wonder what that hack is..
