how many backlinks can I safely get a day before google penalizes me say if i was getting 50+ a day for a week or so would that be bad SEO?I'm not sure if it's an actual number...or something more like a ratio. It's possible for a site like microsoft to get 100's of links a day for a few weeks for a page that has a new update or some free download....vs me getting that many links to my personal blog....A couple of 100 links a day to MS would not create a big jump in the total link count....where as a couple of hundred links a day to my blog would be a dramatic increase over a short period of time....sites that are collecting funds for disaster victims are currently seeing a big surge in natural links...but are not being banned....so I don't think it's a number that you are looking for.I use this tool: http://tools.marketleap.com/publinkpop/To see link trends over time....run a popularity search on your domain...then click the "Click here for your trend report" link to see the chart.The graph tells it all...if it's a nice smooth increasing line that's great...if it has large peaks and valleys or an extremely steep slope then that could be a bad sign.hi, i used that tool . it shows zero backlinks for my site on google even though i know many pages link to me and there are googlebot logs on my site (PR2) why is that ?Failure wrote:Tweakers wrote
