Backlinks, what am I missing here?

This is a follow-up question to the "backlinks update" thread.I see, some of you have several hundreds backlinks.That means there are hundreds of web sites linking to your web sites, right?How is that possible?Or.If I have several web sites, which I do.Can I have a list of all my web sites on every single pages of my existing web sites?How do you guys gain that much backlink count?If you don't mind sharing the secret...Content is king - make pages that people want to link to - pages that people can not live without - then you will soon have many backlinks. Explore the Internet and participate on forums where you will make "net friends" (cyndicates). Ask your newly made friends for a link exchange.Gathering links is like making a huge snowball.
