How to get Backlinks from homepage of edu or gov sites? I assume what we usually get is backlinks from our profile page which has PR0 despite the profile is on site which has PR6. Is there anyway we can get from actual PR6 page? its might be Blog edu for government site there are very tough task to get backlinks which is very page rank. Most of these Gov and Edu websites run campaigns for some cause etc. You can participate or join then to support some of these causes that they promote. You can then ask them to write about your company or brand on their blog to encourage others to support that cause. This way you can get to the homepage or on the blog of the Edu or Gov domains. You can get back links from Gov Blogs by commenting on their post, I don't think its possible to get back links from the Gov home page. You have to contact the developer of that website secretly to get your link listed on .edu or .gov sites homepage for some $$. I have seen some, but i think it's an unethical way of gaining backlinks
Another option- if your website is having similar contents related to those kind of websites, they may list naturally or you can request them to do. maybe you have to do another way to get backlinks from them, can by leaving a comment on their blog, which may also have a high PR Quote: Originally Posted by andrew_p You can get back links from Gov Blogs by commenting on their post, I don't think its possible to get back links from the Gov home page. Yes,this is the best suggestion. It is easier to comment on .edu and .gov blog sites to earn back links rather requesting them to feature you or back link you. .edu website is very helpful for gaining backlinks. The task is going to be extremely difficult to perform, especially if the sites you are referring to are never used in link buying and selling. Why do you believe the admins of edu and gov web portals would be interested in giving a
