1. If you have links in your signature on a forum and you have alot of posts does that count for just one backlink or just depending on the number of posts you have
2. how come when i use backlink checkers it doesnt show the backlinks i placed from about 21- months ago
3. do f backlinks placed on pages with nofollow count to your rank ? 1. If you post multiple times in a same page, it gives you the same weight in SEO.
2. That I can't answer because I also have links that are not indexed.
3. Forum backlink or any other backlinks are the same. Nofollow means no weight for SEO. Different tools show different number of backlinks. It depends on where these software collect their data from. Quote: Originally Posted by alsoyoutube 1. It depends on how bots crawled the website/pages containing your post.

Backlinks may appear in differently day by day so don't worry about the number, again it's the quality that counts.

Again, nofollow links are still beneficial and has value in SEO, that is to balance your dofollow backlinks to make it appear naturally built.
Thanks,
MrSS ok for the first one i meant to say will you get more than 1 backlink if posting on the same url just another file on the url ? such as i have signatures in different threads does that count as one or more backlink alsoyoutube,
This is how I could answer you better:
I haven't experienced many backlinks from the same thread in a forum no matter how many posts I have.
I do experience one backlink in each different threads in a forum where I have posted.
I hope I got it right, else I need to practice reading comprehension more. Quote: Originally Posted by MrSS alsoyoutube,

No guarantee. In other forum I made more than 11 thousand posts, but look is only have more than 800 backlinks. If you are participating in forums just for the backlinks then you are joining forums for the wrong reason.
And even if you did get multiple backlinks from different threads on a forum, the value of that link would be based on the conversation in the thread. Agreed to Super Mod HTMLBasicTutor, it's always the quality.
About my 11k posts, I was member of that forum before I do SEO. So for me those backlinks has no value, I must admit. Knowledge in forum is much more value than the signature link. Search engine doesn't count backlink for all post, because those post is either similar content or no value to reader.
For link hunter, I would advise them stop at 100 post, any additional post on same domain, it will not make much impact to SEO. yes if you are concern with thread posting then you have to keep in mind that you have to post a perfect and right answer of any user's question and if your answer is potential then it will count as a one back link for you.But it is not 100% sure because what does Google check ,that no body knows. I would second HTML basic tutor... Forum are not the right place to get backlinks.
All the good forums are turning nofollow to control spam... This may result a huge fall in backlink count.
And nofollow backlinks does not impact your SERP rankings. Quote: Originally Posted by C.Rebecca I would second HTML basic tutor... Forum are not the right place to get backlinks.
