Hello -
I am working on a template for a public library, which would like to use a background for their navigation element in the left-hand column.
I am unable to devise a way for the background to repeat down this column, to make it stretch to the bottom of the content on the right side. (I've included "junk" text to stretch the page to demonstrate.)
Could someone please look at this draft page (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://kdla.ky.gov/_test/webpresentation/mercer.htm">http://kdla.ky.gov/_test/webpresentation/mercer.htm</a><!-- m -->), and its CSS coding (located temporarily in the header) and please provide some assistance as to achieving this?
Thanks -
KDLAI'm afraid it's not possible to do that, but it is possible to make it look like that's what you're doing. Give this (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.alistapart.com/articles/fauxcolumns/">http://www.alistapart.com/articles/fauxcolumns/</a><!-- m -->) a read.Thank you very much for the article link.
This would actually simplify things for those who will be using this template.
I appreciate your assistance!
Good Luck -
