Avatar upload by link error

Hi. Maby some1 can help me to deal with avatar problem. When I want to upload avatar by entering link to it (foto: 9k447b.jpg ) i'm getting an error "Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."(foto: 2ib0shj.jpg ) I have CHMOD'ed 777 this folders: customavatars, signaturepics, customprofilepics. But still no luck. How can I deal with it?
