Automated emails from Google about new backlinks

Of course you can always deliberately go look at your backlinks and see how many you have. When the lists get into the hundreds, it might get difficult to see which links are new. I recently learned this technique that has Google send me an email every time it finds a new link to my website. It's handy to have the information come to me instead of me going to look for it. It's also interesting to see which links Google is finding, which it is not, and how fast.

Here's how to do it.
Go to www.Google.com/alerts
In the create a Google alert box enter the link finding code in your search terms field: link:http://www.YourSite.com
Type: comprehensive
How often: whatever
Deliver to: your email address Nice idea and I would give it a try though "link:" search on Google would usually return only a little portion of our backlinks.

Thanks, It is really one of the best tips.. I have done it for my 3 domains.. lets see what I am getting from it.

Thanks for sharing. Wow its a very nice with the help of it we can get the idea on google update. Thanks its a good news for seo. Nice tip. But how can you unsubscribe when you don't feel it anymore? There is a "remove this alert" link at the bottom of the incoming emails.
