ASP page to serve contents of a virtual directory

I need users to view the pdf files in a IIS7 virtual directory via an ASP web page. I have added the Vdirectory and enabled browseing. Now they can get the files by adding the folder name to the end of the url .. but so can anyone else. How do I list the contents of the Vdirectory in a simple MVC2 application?.. and .. should I use a different method to serve the files that uses MVC authentication and directories more better ... that's right .. I said 'more better' ..I'm very new to this .. please be as simple as possible.
