ASP.NET VS Classic ASP

I found that writing the exact same functional web site in asp.net took alot more coding and time than writing it in asp, plus ASP gives me more freedom. This is a legitimate finding over 4 weeks time, so much so we went back to using asp for a particular project. Maybe it's because asp.net is new and not enough is known about it, but i used ASP.NET UNLEASHED as a reference guide and the findings are there: asp.net took more coding and longer to build the same site I have in asp, period.So go back to ASP then. You won't hurt anybody's feelings.But please quit starting worthless threads like this. One was plenty.
