We are all here to take risks, those who taks risks, succeed, make live the dream life, those who dont, live normal person, its just a investm some lose, some game, so please do not hate someone if someone is going for the extension that you dont like. This is brief topic which would provide the great information for the .asia investors, this topic will summarize some of the pros and cons of .asia.
I have myself invested in 100+ .in .dot asia domains.
Lets talk about why is .dot asia is good?
In the past there were so many extensions that were launched, for example, differnt countries extensions, such as eu, es, sc, sh, co.uk,me.uk, ca, li, la, de. People sometimes do not even know if such extension ever exist, some of them are so shocked to find about this. I mean how are people with those extensions are going to get unique hits, if the audience doesnt even know such extensions exit. Mentioning the fact, it results in extension failure, not getting great feedback, and we domainers end up losing our money.
.ASIA is not confusing extension, though it is first like actually spelled word "asia" extension, which is not confusing, rather than that it is unique and stands out alone.
.Asia has been in talk since 2001 or 2002, if I am not mistaken. There are so many extensions in the .asia regions, I mean easy to get confuse, to sum them up under one extension, I think it is great idea. My personal opinion, this extension will do great, as we may see, even the plurals of dictionary words are going much faster than any other extensions, all N-N, L-L, are going within the first week, I think it will be first that will stand after .com. .Asia is unique one word, not just it is code of the country itself.
Some people argue that .EU had not done so well in the domainer world, but I think that was much confusing extension , due to we have .ES, extension which is very similar to that .eu. But this did not really do so well, due to being very short, and so many other cctlds are similar to that, which ended up confusing audience.
.Asia is very populated region, and people are getting familar with computers now, even I am from India, I remember few years ago, I didnt even see the computer, but now I am much familar with it, and people are just even going crazy to market themselves online, to earn money. According to the experts, it had been estimated, in the year of 2010, there will be more users online in the asia region than there are in North america region, So I better secure some good domains for the profit sake.
Lets talk about some of the things, that may come out true. Lets put some light on those facts. Domain world is getting bigger, alot of people are getting familar with domains, etc, want to earn money by simply buying domains and make money and not doing anything, which is very true. People are branding different extensions every day, where ICANN, is earning 20 cents per domain, there are so many mega millions domains sales takes place, when any extension comes out. And people who had established themselves online, have to suffer and also pay extra costs, by buying the new names extensions to protect their consumers who may end up landing on someone else sites if they dont secure the name with different extension. This extension may be one of those their tricky games, may result in failure, and loss is of our decent domainers.
Summing this up, on the other hand, this extension is unique, Dictionary word "asia" , and the potential of getting users online in region is expected to be is greater amount. USERS from asia region are expected to exceed than the numbers of users we have in UNITED STATES, or we can say north america.
This may be great investment, buying a 13 dollar domain, may buy you your dreams comes true.
